Odyll, Celestial Hydra

It's not often I finish a picture on the same day I started drawing it! ^^

This's something I need to get into the habit of more often
Truth be told, I have a LOT of unfinished drawings left unposted, because oftentimes I end up needing to do "research" on my pictures and things just keep not turning out right, and yet it seems like I can only devote so much energy toward a picture, for whatever reason

So, yeah~ It's nice to finish something the same day~ Feels good to post again! ^_^



In any case--

Odyll is something of a creature from the mythos of the world that Relevae and Aryva ( Relevae and Aryva: Demons of Geisaro ) come from.
Odyll is the "Celestial" Hydra goddess, and twin sister of the "Flesh" Naga goddess Sar'jan. (I suppose I should probably just post Sar'jan's picture as well, but I think I'd need to revise her face rather significantly as the picture actually originally started as a "motherly" sketch of the otherwise androgynous naga Aja owned by my friend MewShuu. )

"Hydra"-types are admittedly hard to draw, let alone conceptualize, so it took a bit of character dev time to initially figure out what a "Hydra Girl" would even LOOK LIKE.
This was something I had figured out a while back with a sketch I drew up (I might post it in scraps, if I don't do something with it) but I had left unposted because it was literally just a character pose sketch with no solid details

That said... Odyll here has the power to manifest celestial (like, "aether"-ish? physical manifestations of pure mana?) "limbs" that are basically hydra heads (and necks) stemming from the various port-like markings along her back and can be used in place of extra limbs.

...That said, Odyll only sparingly uses this power as necessary because her very hair itself is plentifully available to bend to her will, and act much like extra hydra-like limbs.
Additionally, as Sar'jan is the goddess of "Flesh", Odyll has a slight "robotic" / "synthetic" theme that almost implies her body itself is a synthetic host for her ethereal presence, but her body is quite real~

Odyll is somewhat emotionless on the surface, but she is plenty capable of expressing emotion when her "reserved" exterior is dropped at the right moments.

To be honest, I'm undecided on her ears. They could be long-ish like most all of the other dragon demons of Geisaro, or her ears could be human-like, or they could even be small and "streamlined", barely noticeable at all. (that said, her original concept sketch (which I sort of feel is too unfinished to post ) had her with long ears. I may come back to this later )


(also, sorry if this image-spams anyone. I sorta realized it might seem out of place without some semblance of example of her hydra limbs, but I sort of edited this several times to try to get the look "right" without distracting from the picture I think I've got it now)
